Nov 4th Updated links, click on links in left margin 17th Annual Thanksgiving "Turkey Trip" Itinerary Wednesday November 23rd thru Sunday Nov 27th, 2011 ** Have Fun, Train Hard, Ski Fast!! ** Ski season is right around the corner! Check your boots, wash the ski coats, test your ski pants to see if they fit, and make sure you don’t have rusty edged skis hanging in the garage! It is time to make plans for the annual HVST “Turkey Trip”!! Our season-opening signature event helps our athletes get a head start on the competition, bond with new athletes and old friends alike! As always, we will celebrate our great National holiday with family and teammates, all while having fun skiing and training with our great coaching staff! For new parents or new attendees this is a great way to get to know other parents/families and have fun with your kids doing what we all love…. SKI!!!! We will again have guest athletes and families from several other USSA Central teams. The trip is designed to allow each family to select their room type depending on your party size. Adult package price includes 4 nights of Lodging, Lift Tickets, Daily Meal Vouchers & Thanksgiving Dinner. “Ala- Carte” arrangements for grandparents, small children (non-athletes) or families bringing non-skiers can also be made. Athlete package includes Lift Tickets, Coached Fundamental Skills Training, Lane Time, Directed Free Skiing, and Turkey Dinner. HVST has reserved Lodging in Copper’s “Gold” level accommodations, which are right at the base of Copper and typically less than 100-yards from the lifts. All units have access to the complex hot-tub, heated underground parking and ski lockers on the ground floor just a short walk to the lifts each morning. Three floor plans are available: 1) Hotel Room unit: A simple two bed hotel room, no kitchen, no fireplace. 2) Single Family Condo: (Chosen by most families) Sleeps four. Typically Master Bed/Bath and pull-out sofa-bed in living room, full kitchen and fireplace. 3) Two Bedroom Condo: Sleeps six. Typically Master Bed/Bath, 1 Bedroom with a Queen and a pull-out sofa bed, full kitchen and fireplace. NOTE: Great savings if you are sharing lodging with another family!! Extra Lift Tickets and Turkey Dinners can be purchased. Some families leave St. Louis Tuesday evening after school and arrive Wed morning to start skiing. Check in is usually after 2PM. Several families make it a week-long family vacation! If you want to come earlier, additional lodging fees are listed along with lift tickets at the team discount price. If you prefer to mail payment, please send it to Toni Palm, our Treasurer with your registration form. Payments as follows: $300 deposit and attendees names and room size by Sept 23rd 50% of your balance due by October 21st. Final payment will be required no later than November 10th.
