Preparing Athletes for Competitive Ski Racing

 

Development 2 is designed for athletes who have mastered the fundamentals and are ready to begin race-specific training. Coaches introduce Giant Slalom (GS) and Slalom (SL) techniques while athletes learn to navigate simulated race courses and refine their speed, edging, and turning skills.

 

D2 athletes are encouraged to participate in at least one WIJARA race each season to experience competition in a fun and supportive environment.

 

Practice Schedule

     - Thursdays: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

     - Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

 

Program Fee

     - Season Fee: $575

     - Team Jacket: $225 (required for all athletes)

     - Families may purchase a gently used team jacket through the Hidden Valley         Ski Team Facebook page or the TeamSnap marketplace, when available.
