The Race Team is designed for athletes who are committed to competitive alpine ski racing and are ready for a more demanding training schedule. Coaches provide advanced instruction to prepare racers for Giant Slalom (GS) and Slalom (SL) competitions throughout the Midwest. Athletes need to have basic racing experience in both GS and SL. 

 

Our Race Team typically competes in all four WIJARA races held in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. Advanced athletes may also qualify to compete in U.S. Ski & Snowboard (USSS) and FIS events in northern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Strong performances at these races can lead to qualification for Rocky Mountain Division and national-level competitions.

 

Beyond developing fast skiers, our coaches emphasize discipline, teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship—qualities that benefit athletes both on and off the mountain.

 

Practice Schedule

• Tuesdays: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

• Thursdays: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

• Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

• Additional training sessions may be scheduled throughout the season.

 

Program Fee

• Season Fee: $775

• Team Jacket: $225 (required for all athletes)

• Families may purchase a gently used team jacket through the Hidden Valley Ski Team Facebook page or the TeamSnap marketplace, when available.
